This performance workshop was the result of an invitation by the Stilllive Performance Platform to conceive and lead a multilingual public comedy class based on a workshop I ran as part at Tokyo University of the Arts’ Performance Lab that some of their members attended. Participants explored the concepts of speculative biology as they used crafting materials and household items to invent a creature from another planet and perform a stand-up comedy set based on what a being from that species would find funny.
